I arrived nine days earlier than expected. I was disappointed that the color of the button on the device was the same as UV-5R, unlike the photo on the web. At first glance, I thought I could distinguish between the UV-5R and DM-5R, but I can only tell by the difference in the shape of the antenna. It is a pity that the front is all black. Also, "BF-5R" is displayed when SW is turned on. What is this?

到着予定よりも９日早く着きました。 送られて来た機器は、本体のボタンの色がＵＶ－５Ｒと同じで、ＷＥＢの写真と違ってガッカリしました。 一見して手持ちのＵＶ－５ＲとＤＭ－５Ｒが判別出来ると思っていたんですが、アンテナの形状の違いでしかどちらか分からない。 前面がオールブラックだと精悍に見てるのに残念。 それと、ＳＷをオンにすると「ＢＦ－５Ｒ」と表示される。 これって何？？

The controls are very similar to the UV-5r that I am use to, but it is not Chirp programmable (yet). Only one digital mode and that is kind of a bummer. I would recommend going the RD-5R route if you want a digital UV-5r. But they are still working out the bugs in that one.
